Business to Business Support

Mention a business, and most people think they are run by self-sufficient, ambitious decision makers, quite capable of going it alone. But just like individuals, corporate businesses large and small need a steer. They need a safe place to stockpile any earnings. They may need advice about setting up or expansion. It’s the people working in business-to-business advice and support who provide the help they require.

a woman on the phonePeople enter financial business related careers in large numbers each year. The chance to handle multi-million pound accounts, chat through deals, compile business cases and turn people’s dreams into realities carries certain status. You can be a big fish in a very specialist pond, nurturing and helping businesses to take their first steps and grow.

Corporate banking, insurance and risk analysis, investment management – all these specialists plus many more lend businesses their wealth of expertise, and maybe a large slice of cash. Wherever you specialise – underwriting loans, structuring finance, property management, sourcing a fleet of cars, credit and debt management - you will have a vested interest in your clients’ performance over the long-term. This will involve lots of client interaction from an early stage, with high-level responsibilities to match.

Expect lots of dealings with senior people, negotiating with rating agencies, lawyers and other professionals. Your job will be to keep the vast array of information, products and money flowing. And all the time you’ll be measuring and controlling the level of risk to your institution. It’s a fine, but stimulating, balancing act.
